It is not the apocalypse of the world...this is what so many religious people do not understand. It is one own's apocalypse. It is one's own death that one has to recognize in order to resurrect.

Would you take a look at my LOVE RELOADED blog entry: http://tinyurl.com/cchatl

I'm trying to capture the essence of Christian love and spirituality. "Agape" This love is necessary for salvation, and with it no one can be lost.

Do you think we get too hung up and guilty about erotic love? It's still just a part of love, isn't it?

Even Yeshua bar Yosef's name has been Romanized, to "Jesus," indicating the thorough Hellenizing undergone by the peculiar Messianic cult that sprang up around him.

What you're talking about (and which I agree with) was a furthering of this process, I believe, and resulted in the thorough grafting of the Yeshua cult onto the imperialistic apparatus of the Roman state, which was fascist in the literal, Classical sense of the word.

A Latin professor of mine used to say that if you want to see what a Roman imperial coronation looked like, all you have to do is look at the installation of a new pope. The pageantry and ritual are identical.

Yeshua's original followers wouldn't recognize what purport to be the establishment, mainline churches today.
